The local law enforcement agency in Sarasota County is the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department which operates two office locations, north and south. The two locations are in Sarasota and Venice respectively. To go directly to the inmate search please visit http://www.sarasotasheriff.org/InmateChargeReport.asp . It will show all inmates incarcerated within Sarasota County as well as their bond amounts.
There is also a link to the sexual offender database for Florida. This database requires that all offenders of a sexual nature must register information such as residence, workplace, and physical details about themselves. This information is at the public’s disposal.
