The local law enforcement agency in Sarasota County is the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department which operates two office locations, north and south. The two locations are in Sarasota and Venice respectively. If you wish to contact the Sheriff’s Department’s north office in Sarasota please call 941-861-4081; if you wish to contact the south office located in Venice, please dial 941-861-1704. There is also a link to the sexual offender database for Florida. This database requires that all offenders of a sexual nature must register information such as residence, workplace, and physical details about themselves. This information is at the public’s disposal.
