Arkansas County, Arkansas Birth Records
The Arkansas Department of Health holds birth records dating from February 1st, 1914. Prior to that, the department holds a limited number of certificates. You may obtain a plastic wallet card of a birth record (not accepted as a “real” birth certificate, serves as a memento only) or a certified birth record copy.
Limitations
Arkansas County does not release birth records that are less than 100 years old; however, if you are related to the person on the birth record or a member of the immediate family, you can receive a copy of the birth record immediately.
Requirements & Fees
The fee to obtain a birth record is $12, which is also non-refundable (even if the record is not found). If you need additional copies, it is $10 per copy. In addition to payment, you must also include: the full name of the person on the birth certificate (including maiden name), date of birth, city or town and county of birth, father’s and mother’s full names (including the mother’s maiden name), your relationship to the person on the birth certificate, and the reason you’re requesting a birth record. You must also fill out and include this form with your request:
