Ashley County, Arkansas Birth Records

Perhaps you need an extra copy in order to obtain a Social Security Card or passport for your baby. You may obtain a copy from the Arkansas Department of Health for any birth record from February 1^st, 1914, and you can get a plastic wallet card of a birth record (serves as a memento only) or a certified birth record copy from this office.

 

Requirements & Fees

 

In the State of Arkansas, the fee to obtain a birth record is $12, which is non-refundable; if the clerk does not find the record, they will still keep the $12. Additional copies are $10 per copy. In addition to payment, you must also fill out and include this form with your request: http://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/programsServices/certificatesVitalRecords/Documents/vr-7_birth_certificate_application.pdf.

 

Also be sure to include the full name of the person on the birth certificate (including maiden name), date of birth, city or town and county of birth, father’s and mother’s full names (including the mother’s maiden name), your relationship to the person on the birth certificate, and the reason you’re requesting a birth record.

Limitations

Arkansas law does not permit the of release birth records that are less than 100 years old; however, if you are related to the person on the birth record or a member of the immediate family, you can receive a copy of the birth record immediately.
