Crittenden County, Arkansas Birth Record
According to the Arkansas Department of Health Statistics there were over 700 individuals born in Crittenden County in 2005. For each birth, a record is made that includes the full name of the individual, the full name of the mother and father, date of birth, and county of occurrence. These records can be later used to prove age or identity for the party of record, or even used to obtain other documents such as a driver’s license or marriage license. Genealogists also may have an interest in birth records to track the events in their own family’s history.
However, in Arkansas there are restrictions as to who may access vital records. There is a waiting period of 100 years from the time a certificate of birth is documented until it is released to the public. Until that time, only the party of record, immediate family members, legal representatives and eligible academic research groups may have access. If you would like to request a birth record, you may do so in person at your local health department, by mail through the state, or online using an approved website.
