Death records can be released only to specific persons who are related to the registrant, his/her designated representatives, academic research groups, and to persons who can demonstrate that they have a right to obtain the record. Death records that are more than 50 years old are deemed public record.

Required Information: government-issued photo identification, full name of the deceased, date of death, county or city of death, name of the funeral home (optional), requestor's relationship to the deceased, requestor's reason for requesting the certificate, and you will need to note if this was a stillborn infant; you must also include cash, check, or money order made payable to Arkansas Department of Health.
Years Available: You can order a death record from this office if you seek one that was created from February 1, 1914 through the present.
Search Fees:A death record is $10 for the first copy (non-refundable) and $8 for each record thereafter ordered at that time.
