Search Fees: Birth records are $15, and if you need to amend a birth record, it is $25. For births recorded more than 75 years ago, it is only $5 to obtain a non-certified birth record.

Marriage records are not maintained on a state level. You will need to contact the Clerk of the Superior Court of the county where the marriage was performed in order to obtain a copy of a marriage record.

Search Fees: The fee for a marriage record is $26.50, plus $7 shipping and handling (unless you enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request, then shipping is free).
Retrieval Timeframe: Requests may take up to 14 business days from the time your payment is received for items requested.

Divorce Records
Divorce records are not maintained on a state level. You will need to contact the Clerk of the Superior Court of the county where the divorce was finalized in order to obtain a copy of a marriage record.

Notes: When requesting a divorce record, you must indicate whether you want just the divorce decree or if you want the property settlement or custody agreement as well; also indicate whether or not this is for a name change with the Social Security Administration.
