County Records

 

The Arkansas Division of Vital Records is responsible for maintaining birth, death, marriage and death records. The department keeps the coupons at the bottom of the marriage and divorce records, and the actual certificate is kept at the local office of the county clerk of courts.

 

You may request a certificate search at the Vital Records Office at 4815 W. Markham Street in Little Rock. Walk-in customers are served in the same day. The office is open during the week with normal business hours. The office telephone numbers are 501-661-2336 and 800-637-9314.

 

State Vital Records

 

Applications for the specific vital records, found at http://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/programsServices/certificatesVitalRecords/Pages/default.aspx, may also be downloaded and mailed with check or money order to the Vital Records Office. The cost for a marriage or divorce coupon is $10 each. The office charges $12 for a birth certificate copy and $10 for a death certificate copy.
